Little Red Riding Hood

Once upon a time, there was a little girl who always wore a red hood. Everyone called her Little Red Riding Hood!

One day, her mother gave her a basket with yummy food.
"Take this to Grandma," said her mother. "But stay on the path and don’t talk to strangers!"

Little Red Riding Hood walked happily through the forest. But oh! A big, furry wolf saw her.

"Where are you going?" asked the wolf.

"To Grandma’s house!" she said.

The sneaky wolf had a plan. He ran fast, fast, fast to Grandma’s house before Little Red Riding Hood arrived.

Knock, knock!
"Who is it?" asked Grandma.

"It’s me, Little Red Riding Hood!" said the wolf in a sweet voice.

Grandma opened the door—and the wolf jumped in! He put on Grandma’s nightgown and glasses and got into bed.

A little while later, Little Red Riding Hood arrived.

"Grandma, what big eyes you have!" she said.

"To see you better, my dear," said the wolf.

"Grandma, what big ears you have!"

"To hear you better, my dear."

"Grandma, what big teeth you have!"

"To eat you better!" growled the wolf.

Just then—BANG! The door opened! A kind woodcutter ran inside and scared the wolf away.

Grandma hugged Little Red Riding Hood.
"You were very brave!" she said.

Little Red Riding Hood smiled. "Next time, I will listen to Mama and stay on the path!"

And from that day on, she always did!
