Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there was a princess named Snow White. She had skin as white as snow, lips as red as a rose, and hair as black as ebony. Snow White lived with her stepmother, a queen who was very beautiful but also very vain.

Every day, the queen asked her magic mirror, "Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?" The mirror always said, "You are, Your Majesty." But one day, the mirror said, "Snow White is the fairest of them all."

The queen became very jealous and ordered a huntsman to take Snow White into the forest and leave her there. But the huntsman couldn't do it. Instead, he let Snow White go, and she ran deep into the forest.

Snow White found a tiny cottage and, inside, seven little beds. She was so tired that she fell asleep on one of the beds. When the owners of the beds, seven dwarfs, came home, they found Snow White and decided to help her.

The queen found out that Snow White was still alive and tried to trick her three times. First, with a tight corset; then, with a poisoned comb; and finally, with a poisoned apple. Snow White fell for the poisoned apple and seemed to be asleep forever.

The dwarfs placed Snow White in a glass coffin in the woods. One day, a prince who had heard of her beauty found Snow White. He kissed her, and she woke up! It was true love's kiss that broke the spell.

Snow White and the Prince got married, and they lived happily ever after. And as for the queen, when she asked her mirror, the mirror responded, "You, my queen, are fair; it's true. But Snow White is even fairer than you."
